Chipped p28 wont see external chip & uses onboard map
I have a chipped p28 i bought from advanced ignition...yea i didnt know at the time about them.
The ecu is chipped and has everything done the chip i am using in the socket is a 27sf512
j1 is jumped it was jumped with some resistor so i rejumped it with some wire i thought this was the issue but this didnt solve it
i have went over the entire board remelting the solder but still no luck
At first i thought the chip was bad so i got another and reburned it with a different map and no luck it always will turn on good then start idleing funny and miss firing
this is a 92 accord running a f22a1 stock 310 cc injectors full catless exhaust i am trying to tune this car to get the feel of crome so i am ready to tune my turbo f22b1 sitting in my garage
earlier today i thought i wonder if this pos is even reading the chip so i took the chip out and it turned on again running like ****
so the ecu is trying to run the f22 motor with a civic map that was originally on this ecu..... so its not chipped right Does anyone have any idea how i can fix this so i dont have to deal with them?
everything seems to be installed correctly j1 is jumped the second chip is installed and so is the resistors something is not telling it to read the external erpom
btw it has a solid check engine light the fuel pump primes but the light never goes off
Thanks for everyones help!
