Default Converting speedo from KP/H to MP/H

Hello, I'm living in the states and was looking to buy a Canadian civic. The cluster has KP/H as the main speed reading with MP/H as the smaller text. I was curious how to swap the Canadian Speedo to a US Speedo and what is required. Any help would be great. Thank you

You can just take the entire gauge cluster from any U.S. spec Civic of the same year, plug it in and it will work. What year is your car?

Not sure if anyone would care, daytime running light (DRL) indictator would be lost, as well as the low windshield washer fluid level indictator.

@reedman The civic i'm looking to buy is a 2003 Civic LX Sport that was assembled in Canada. My only concern is that the harness will not fit correctly. Are you saying it'll just plug and go?

@eviee1973 so you're saying that I'd lose the daytime running light indicator and the low windshield washer fluid level indicator? Is there a possible full conversion?

Yes, any gauge cluster from any 01-05 Civic will be plug and play.

If you throw in a US market cluster, you would loose the two functions already mentioned. Everything else would be plug and play, tach, speedometer, etc. The factory cluster will have imperial measurement on a smaller font on the speedometer. Why not leave it as is, your 2003 Sport model is not going to look like any US market Civic, so keep it unique in your area. Did want to get one new, were sold out, ended up getting a 2004 DX-G in October 2003.

This is incorrect. If it were that simple, we wouldn't have a DIY in the FAQ's about swapping an 03-05 cluster into an 01-02.

01-02 Civic Cluster to 03-05 Cluster Swap (MT): Link
There are other factors to consider as well, but I won't go into all that.

I apologize for the misinformation. I assumed since clusters were interchangeable for EKs and EGs within their respective chasis that it would also apply to 7th gens.

Why get a Canadian civic, what's special about it?
