Default y7 head on a6 block?

I'm running pretty much Si-everything on my '90 DX hatch and after replacing the valve stem seals, valve cover gasket, spark plug tube gaskets, and rocker assembly o-rings I'm still losing a lot of oil. I blow clouds of smoke after letting the engine brake and getting back on the throttle. Compression was above recommended across all four cylinders last I checked and the smoke doesn't seem to be constant. Everything seems to point at the valve guides.

I don't really want to invest any more money in this car as I'm trying to get a past integra project back so going VTEC isn't really an option. Earlier tonight my buddy hooked me up with a complete and clean y7 head and said I should be able to use that.

Can I use a y7 head on my a6 block? It's a complete head with no distributor or intake manifold. I can rob any parts from my a6 top-end that I need but I want to be sure it'll bolt on to that new head and that new head will bolt on to my block. What head studs and head gasket can I use?

ETA: Found this...

...but it was posted 8 years ago and the thread didn't carry on any further.

"Yes it will work" isn't a very good explanation, hence this thread. Generally one would want to know the specifics of such a swap before actually performing the swap.

There's gotta be at least one person around here that's done a y7 head on an a6 block.
