i have a 91 civic its a d15b dpfi with a pm5-a30 ecu.
does anyone know if the pm5-a30 wont let u pass 100mph?
is there any other ecu that i can use instead of the stock ecu?

its non vtec, it wasnt holding compression and it would over heat and wouldn't pass 80 but i changes head gasket and piston rings and drove around for a while to beak them in 2months later went up to 100 no problem but it just stops at 100mph. the engine is healthy. think might be the ecu not letting me pass 100. the breaks work fine when going 100

Can't use a mpfi ecu on dpfi. At least from my experience but the pm5 probably has a cut off at a certain speed and yea I'm really surprised that thing went up to 100mph why wouldn't you just swap to mpfi it's cake and an I stand 20 hp
what parts would i need for complete mpfi? what ecu witch intake manifold what sensors injectors and how to wire it together? can i use the obd0 harness or would i need another one?
im not sure if theres a limiter in the ecu or not. mine topped at about 107ish before my mpfi swap. with a 4spd standard model at that. not really interested in finding out how it will go now (bit older/wiser/self-preservation). mpfi is the way to go though if you plan on holding on to the car as a dd for a while. so much nicer to drive. either way, if theres a limiter in one ecu, its a safe bet that honda incorporated it all they're other ecus as well
