Default Alex_S - Honda Civic ED7 88' Build

Hey! im now back with another Honda. I managed to get this 88' ED7 real cheap!
D16A6 engine, discs at rear. It also had the rear fenders and both thresholds changed at a bodywork shop, not too long ago.
It's pretty much rustfree.
When i bought it, the engine wasn't in it cause the previous owner had plans to but a b16 engine in there but he never got around to it.

Plans:
repaint - Either Barrakeshbrown or championship white
Amber positionlights
paint the plastic in the headlights black.
Coilovers
strutbars front and rear
headers + custom made 2" exhaust
CAI

pretty empty!

Starting to put the engine back in!

_

Driveshafts are on !
Engine is in all mounts except the gearbox one.

Engine is in!

On it's own feet!

Bonus pic!

Got some more done tonight! Still waiting for a new engine harness so the startup bit will have to wait some.

Started the modification of the valve cover, the Honda badge and text is removed

Also changed the fender as the old one was rusty, so i took the time to put some paint under it.

1st pic is the fan switch. Located on the back of the motor near the oil filter.
It's the one with the two prongs in this picture.

Second one looks like the MAP sensor connector and some cut wires for what used to the the purge cut solenoid.
These are found on the firewall as show in this pic.

Green plug in your last pic is definitely the injector resistor box.

Thanks man!

Heres a pic of my resistorbox, this is the only connection to it? should the green one go in to that one then?

Green one goes in there
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzY4WDEwMj...id=8800005007;
The heavier yellow/black stripe in that connector goes to your main relay for +12 volts.
The reds go to each injector to give them +12 power.

The other connector goes to a firewall connection for this plug.
Your connector is rectangular which is only found on the 88. 89~91 is round.

Pic in that link doesn't show the chassis harness/firewall connection.

These go to the thermo switch sensor behind the block near the oil filter .

Just got back from the garage!

The cables for the injector resistor are now in place!

Where should this be connected? it seems to be too small for anything in its reach.

And where is this one supposed to be connected?

Now down on my new garage spot! will be accompanied by my mates S13 soon

Third pic -
One cable on that battery terminal runs to the starter and the other to the fuse box.
In your pic, I can see the part of the fuse box where the wire is supposed to enter.
Where does the other cable run that is hooked to the battery terminal?

You are also missing the heavy gauge cable that runs into the fuse box from the alternator.

In this pic (not mine), somebody replaced the stock battery cable with a red one.
The black one right next to it runs to the alternator.
The lug you show in your second pic MIGHT be that alternator wire.

The car is started! i just need to get a little gasket for the fpr, as its leaking some fuel at the moment.
Then i have to connect the last of the remaining vacuum lines and some small things like that.

Then i can start to bleed the brakesystem and coolant :D

Alright! trashing the turbo plans.

new plan!
go through the engine
Porting the head
P29 / pm7 pistons
D16z6 headgasket

this will get me to ( according to calculator ) 11.10 in compression ratio

will combine this with a 4-2-1 header and 2" exhaust without cat.

What you think of this setup? got any better ideas?
