Default ''Best design'' for a manifold.

If an intake manifold can be like that....why an exhaust can't?

Hahahaaaaaaaaaa

Because exhaust pressure will be through the roof.

Backed up pressure in an intake manifold is "boost," backed up pressure in an exhaust manifold is heat stuck on the exhaust side of a cylinder head. It also leads to concerns about evacuation of exhaust gas from the chamber.

x2, although it also looks like it might have been done to deal with size constraints in whatever engine bay that engine is going in.

You could easily build block hugger headers that would fit in an equality tight clearance if you're a skilled enough fabricator.

Agree on troll post.

Whoever built that clearly does not understand physics or the combustion cycle.

Troll post because we thought you were serious in saying the design was good.
