what paint to use when painting turbo???
ok i want to paint my turbo...the compressor side is polished so what do i paint the other half with? is there a paint that won't flake off at high heat???
thanks alot!!!
thanks alot!!!
get some temp that can with stand some high temps, but why would you do this if its going to be tucked away under the car?
VHT Flameproof paint found at NAPA. I did my manifold an down pipe and it's holding up great. I got the silver kinda looks like a ceramic coating. I would have done the turbine housing but I was too impatient. I didn't have the turbo for 2 month and when it came in I wasn't going to wait to paint it. Anyway, good paint!
Pretty much most of the over the counter paint will flake off with that kind of heat. Even having it jethot coated wears away on the turbo after time.

there are few coatings that will last at 1500f-1800F for extended lengths of time.
