Icon2 2001 MDX rear air not working

I have a 2001 MDX, and the rear air is not working. The dealer says its the blower resister, but wants $250.00 and not sure if they can fix it. Can anyone tell me if this is something i should take on myself. Ty
P.s. I am handy, not to shy to take on a new fix it project for my MDX . TY

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and remove
the key.
2. Move the driver’s seat all the way back.
3. Remove the driver’s console side trim by pulling out
at the front, popping out the clips, and releasing the
two tabs.
4. While wearing protective gloves, reach through the
opening in the center console frame, and
disconnect the wire harness from the rear power
transistor.
Locate the lock tab release at the bottom of the
transistor. Push the lock tab down and toward the
rear, then turn the power transistor clockwise past
the lock tab.
Pull out the rear power transistor
Clean the blower intake screen by vacuuming it
Install in reverse.

The instructions above are correct. Here's a link to the same with pictures for how to do it on a Pilot:

http://www.piloteers.org/forums/14-p...istor-fix.html

The thermal cutoff fuse you need to get can be had for less than $2 from:

http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...0920-ND/295816

and the thermal paste can be had at radio shack for like $5. I ordered 3 of the fuses just in case I messed up and to have some extra. Super easy fix. Make sure you use a soldering iron that is low temp enough to not harm the circuit board.

Good luck!
