No complaints here. But this is my first helmet (Bell Sport II).

Next time around, I might spend a bit more for something a bit lighter and better construction.

 

i'm into dirtbiking...and bell makes the top of the line helmets....thats what all the pro's wear!!! sharp helmet btw

 

I don't want to be a horse *** but, why many people ask if some product is good or bad when they already bought it??? Maybe they're looking for some kind of approval for the item they just got? What if the product you just purchased is a POS? You're already screwed up!

Well, in this case, yes. Bell helmets are an excellent product and it is among the best ones out there.

 

And what is the rating? I like it

 

i payed ~100 shipped, and it is Snell and DOT approved motorcycle helmet... i bought it online, so i havent even seen the product... im posting here cuz i still can cancel my order if more experienced pple say it sux...

 

If it is a DOT helmet you cannot use it for SCCA autocross, or any HPDE's. You will need a Snell 2000 (I think 1995 is still ok).

 

Our SCCA region will allow SA95 helmets until the SA2005's come out, FWIW

 

i got the bell mag 5..ultra light wieght...and open face!

great for closed cabin race and hot weather!

 

If it is a snell approved helmet it should be fine for autocross and lapping days (depending on the track).

 

You need SA95 or SA2000.

Motorcycle helmets generally are frowned upon because they are not made of fire retardant material. A lot of clubs/organizations will not let you through tech with a M rated helmet.

 

i believe its fine for autox... the rules (in my region) only require a dot aprroval...
