knock sensor replacement

Icon2 knock sensor replacement

where is the location of the knock sensor on the 04 Honda Civic. The check engine light is on and p1324 is the code. I need to know where it is and how to replace it. Art

On the backside of the engine, under the intake manifold. You'll need to remove the intake manifold to access it.

Others have said that they were able to remove it from underneath the vehicle. They must have tiny hands and arms made of rubber or something, I couldn't do it that way.


If you're afraid to do that without some form of guidance, I recommend that you buy yourself a service manual. Click here. You'll want 61S5C01. (the first one on the list)


You might try and see if there is a DIY video. Otherwise, just get the manual.

I am having the same problem, got underneath, took off the oil filter and couldn't locate it. I guess I am taking off the intake manifold to get at it. Grrr! If someone has pictures, that would be awesome.
