No research on your own huh? The overwhelming majority of people will tell you blanks are best. The drilled &/or slotted variety are touted mainly for looks. Funny though. They stop my car just the same.

For the street?? A brembo blank will out perform both a slotted and a drilled rotors, more surface area.

If you are hell bent on a choice of those two styles, a slotted rotor is a better choice as they don't get the heat cracks for what drilled rotors are know for as they get older

Never had a crack show up in any drilled rotor I've ever run.

You don't need them unless this is a show car. In that case spend the money and get ones made that way. They have less surface area and if the company drills them out themsleves the rotors become weak.

Cars that come from the factory with them have the appropriate setup with pads/calipers and rotors.

It'd be more beneficial to invest that money into a rear disc swap.

umm, no, lol

Rear disk brakes on a Honda make up only 20-25% of braking. On Honda's, rarely does a rear disk setup decrease stopping distance......it's all in the front. Bigger calipers and rotors in the front are where performance in brakes can be had.

There is absolutely no beneficial gain from using drilled/slotted rotors, which is why I said the rear disc swap is a better investment. Obviously bigger rotors/calipers would be a better investment as well. There are gains from the rear disk swap, but like you said they are pretty minimal.
