1993 Civic with 1995 Del Sol B16A3 swap. Rebuilt head code 5 and 14
Ive been searching online for a few hours and need the car running for work any help would be appreciated.
I bought the car everything was running fine. I took the head off and had it rebuilt with full ITR oem valve train minus valves and cams with the addition of supertech valve guides and installed ARP head studs. Installed the head with new gaskets and plugs but while initially taking the head off I had to remove it and the distributor at a random position due to the spark plug threads needing inserts and not wanting to cycle the engine with metal shaving inside the cylinders. I installed at TDC. The head had no coolant and I tried refilling it through the radiator after it cycled through a few times but it had not been burped.
There were two plugs in reach to the IACV and with one it wouldnt start unless under constant throttle and with the other it runs rough with varying degrees of smoothness corresponding to the distributors position at 1k rpm for 15 seconds the the check engine light comes on and it slowly climbs to 1500 or so rpm and the CEL comes on. After jumping shows codes 5 and 14. The MAP sensor looks brand new and everything responded the same with a known working replacement but the original one was working before the head came off. Thanks

Im really at a loss here. I can post up pictures or anything. Im not really sure if I wired everything up properly but I checked the wire colors for the two sensors and theyre right. Could this be a vacuum issue? Maybe I mis connected other plugs?
Make sure ALL sensors match with the wire colors in the sensor connectors:

The car was originally a d15b7 car with the secondary MAP sensor and I dont know how that is incorporated into a b16 swap. The harness is correctly ran to the IACV and both MAP sensors. The secondary MAP calls for vacuum originating from the intake manifold but theres no hole for it on the b16 manifold. The issue is definitely with idle: once its warm it starts and tried to run at 700 rpm but runs rough for a few seconds before kicking up to 1500 and throwing the codes. Cold start it takes a bit longer to kick up and throw the codes. If you give it a bit of gas it runs smoothly but surges from 700 to 1500 when you let off. Could having the green one wire plug plugged into the IACV have blown it or the ECU?

Only one MAP sensor should be connected - the one on the throttle body.
If you reset the ECU, do both codes return?
Are all sensors connected to the correct sensor connector?

I did as you suggested and after clearing the ECU and checking I am only getting code 3. The idle is still the same.

Thank you very much! It was running before the head was removed with no codes I dont understand how anything could change. How do I disable the secondary one besides unplugging it and what do you mean by properly pinned?
All three MAP sensor wires from the throttle body should run to specific pins in the ECU connectors. Make sure that they do and that the wires have no open or short.
Hi Guy's. Im new to hondatech. Im having a similar issue with The b16a3 del sol vtec a bad idle. It wanders and hunts every other time i drive her. Sometimes she runs like i just pulled off the lot and other times i wanna pull my hair out. Ive changed the iacv, fitv, tps(did not volt test yet),map sensor, and just finished a head gasket rebuild. Everything has been timed. I think i have a vac leak somewhere but me an my "honda guru" buddy cant figure it out. Why is it only acting up half the time i run my baby.
