Default Vibration when driving high speeds

Hey folks,

Got a 00 Canadian Ek Si with 368000 km (228664 miles) when going 80mpg and higher the car starts to vibrate but will stop after a bit after maintaining that speed for 5mins. recently i had the car on jack stands and the left passenger front wheel had a lot of resistance when trying to spin it by hand the front driver side wheel was much easier. the car has been on its original rotors and i've only changed out the brake pads once, the last time i change the brake pads 2yrs ago i forgot to grease up the caliper pins. I plan on changing out the rotors and attempt to lubricate the caliper pins, do you think this is the solution to the vibration or should it be something else ? i've already had both front wheel bearings replaced before.

thanks for the help.

Does it hum on turns? If so, wheel bearing.

Are your tires balanced correctly?

nope, no humms on turns,

tires were put on a year ago and should be balanced properly as this issue only started happening 5 days ago. can the tires become unbalanced ?

Do you feel vibration on braking? When was the last time you had the wheels balanced? Yes the tires can come out of balance due to uneven wear, internal damage, bulge. Rims could get bent. Balancer weights could fall. Bad Axles and CV joints could cause vibrations also. Does the vibration come on acceleration only or does it come whenever you are speeding? Is your alignment good?

Rotate your tires/wheels & see if the vibration moves/changes. Simple/inexpensive test to see if it is a wheel or tire.

i rotated the tires, still same effect.

i checked out the front passenger caliper and it is seized, going to change it out for a rebuilt one, it seems pretty simple, there's only 1 banjo bolt on the brake line to the caliper. any tips from anyone who's replaced the caliper before ?

thanks

If the piston is not leaking, just fix it. Clean and grease the slide pin. Clean the cylinder and piston.

update- too late, i bought and replaced the caliper along with the rotor, the virbration is now gone going at high speeds. after i initially installed the caliper and rotor i was getting this loud grinding noise, mind you i didn't replace the break pads (i'm thinking i should have) i would get the griding when i brake and when i start accelrating again. then i would park the car, check out what could it be, maybe the dust plate... then start to drive again and the grinding was less noticeble. perhaps the rotors need to break in, i'm pretty sure the pads were even wear.

thanks all.

btw the old caliper had a bad seal and i couldn't even move the piston, didn't want to bother with trying to rebuild it on my own in case it seized up again.
