Default D16Y7 knock sensor

Hi Guys. I recently bought a 96 EX coupe. Apparently the previous owner swapped the Y8 for a Y7, but it appears he kept the VTEC head off the Y8 because I'm pretty sure I'm staring at the VTEC solenoid. This must also mean he kept the Y8 ECM.. The only code I am getting is a knock sensor code, which makes sense since the connector for it is just swinging below the engine. Pretty sure this is because the Y7 doesn't use a knock sensor, nor have a place to screw it in. I'd like to know when a legit code comes up, but I won't be able to tell if it is always on because of the knock sensor...

Anyone know if there is a way to drill/tapp the Y7 block for a knock sensor?

Thanks

It has a threaded hole for the knock sensor, the blocks are identical and have the same Honda part number P2E-810

Wow. You are right! I bought a knock sensor off ebay for $11 and screwed it right in the Y7 block. Now my codes are clear! Thanks!
