I do a lot of driving at night and was looking into getting some driving lights. However, it seems that, unless I get some lights that are way small, the slats on the bumper will not allow the light to be mounted properly. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/mad.gif" BORDER="0">

If the image didn't work, they are driving lights made by Hella.
Dimensions are: W117mm x H65mm x D95mm

I don't want to resort to getting anything too small because, often, they are not as bright. Please give me some suggestions as to what will/will not work, and feel free to post pics of foglamps on a similar Accord.

Not really, I can barely make out a little white dot just below the middle slat. Do you have another pic?

 

Yes, but its even worse. You should be able to see where to mount the lights from that picture. If they still dont fit, mount a bracket forward of the bumper, and mount them hanging from the bracket or on top of the bracket.

 

are you trying to install under your bumper lights??

i just mount them inside the bumper on either side of the front license plate...
used a dremel tool to carve an opening for them, worked great! mounted on the bottom lip of the bumper...

 

Nice car, lose the pin strips.

 

OT: hehe, i've started peeling on the other side, takes for ever, needs paint anyways

Thanks for the pic. I was trying to figure out whether to mount it "pendulum" style or mount it with the bracket facing down. Either way, based on the size of the lamps, I think I'll have take a Dremel to it bigtime!

BTW, cool car. I wish I had an EX sometimes, just for the front lip.

 

since yours is the same as mine 90-91, our bumpers are different than "wont be beat" i only had to dremel out 2 bars, at about the width of the lamp....

btw: mines an EX-R (canada)

92-93 bumpers are way cooler than 90-91 bumpers.

 

Those lights are Hella fine...
