00 Ek dx hatch.
There is a link to the video I made of what's going on...
The front drivers side blinker is extremely bright... To the point where it lights up street signs... I put in all new bulbs, no change.
Lights off, blinker is slow but dim.
Driving lights, steady blinker is bright as heck, and blinker dim, fast when it wants to.
Headlights on, steady blinker light is bright, and the blinking is dim, sometimes fast.
For some reason, the larger filament that is normally the blinker... Is the steady light. The filament that is normally the driving light, is now the blinker.
It doesn't always blink fast, but the longer I leave it on... It slowly get faster and faster.
All my lights are totally fine except for the driver side blinker bulb.

Only pay attention when headlights are on as i dont run around with just park lamps on, and i get zero blink out of my driver side front
i wanna say it's a wiring issue. you'll have to trace the wires to see if there are any splices or corrosion, etc

I did all the general obvious diagnostics for this. What I will check tomorrow with my other fluke multimeter, is the continuity... See if the negative and positive wires are reversed in polarity...
Negative being positive and positive being negative... If... That is the issue, it has to be my wiring that I repinned (which I doubt) or some type of module or relay.

There's a box that looks like a relay attached to the under-dash fuse box that controls the blinkers.
It's possible there is an internal short which is causing the unit to overheat (they're opened/closed by thermal action, kinda like the old Christmas light blinker).

--- Do me a favor and google a picture of the fuse box, and circle the relay in question.

UPDATE: I replaced the relay with another one, and no difference. Still have the wrong filaments lighting up.

Did some more diagnosing today and found out that it wasn't a bulb issue, or relay issue or a wiring problem even... The socket on that side is very pristine so it didn't even cross my mind... must just be faulty of a sort. New base fixed the problem.
