Is it hard to install a rear lower tie bar??? HELP!!
Has anyone installed their rear lower tie bar? What steps do I need to take to do this? I want to install my Spoon Rear Lower Tie Bar. Will I need jackstands? Is it hard to unbolt the lower control arms and rebolt them again? Please help!
yes you will need a jack and some stands, all you have to do is take out 2 screws and its in there, it will take you longet to jack up your car then it will to put the bar on.
This will give you a rough idea of what you're about to do:

Do I need to remove the rear wheels? Does the lower control arm are stay in place when the bolt is removed or will I have to line up the lower control arm when I put the bolt back in?

You WILL want to remove the rear wheels. It will lighten the load on the control arms and make it easier to maipulate the bolt. The Skunk 2 ones use different bolts, which differ from the tapered factory bolt. Not sure about the Spoon ones, but removing the wheels will ease the installation.

That's the part that can be a little tricky.

I could not get the bolt back it without lowering the car till the rear wheel touched the ground. The holes will just not line up. I tried for 40 minutes then decided to lower the can and it went in in 5 minutes. If you need and more help just message me. HTH
Not at all it took me 30 mins on my driveway with a honda Jack, lol.
It prob wasn't the safest way but it worked just fine for me. As long as the car does not shift, the lower tie arm bolts will go in and out with out a problem.

I found that using your jack and placing it underneath the control arm and raising it up a bit helps to make aligning the holes easier.
Good luck!

Not really hard at all. I have installed and removed mine a couple of times and some friends and was not all that complicated.

its just tricky sometimes because your control arm will move just a little bit, so you have to get the holes lined up again, not really that big of a deal
