I have a 96 Accord that just this weekend, almost every time I depressed the clutch pedal in first gear, the car would begin to shake and then stall. I can kind of feel like a grinding coming from the pedal when it's depressed at anytime. I have to keep the rpm up with the gas in order to keep the car from stalling. I had just purchased a clutch kit but I'd like to get some confirmation that it is a clutch related issue before I get it installed.

Sounds like a throwout bearing, but it could be anything.

 

How does the fluid level look ? Does it do it in neutral ?

 

Fluid level is full. The problem especially happens when coming to a stop or starting off from 1st gear. I have to feather the gas to keep it from stalling. I can feel the clutch "grind" when I depress the clutch to shift gears at the friction point.
