Interior map light?
So as you guys can see, I'm relatively new to this forum. This is my first post, and I just got my 95 civic dx coupe a month or two ago. First thing on my agenda, is to put some damn lights in so I can at least see what I'm doing at night. I opened up the map cover and this is what I found.

Apparently theres already a bulb inside. I was expecting there to be no bulb inside, and it also looks like theres no wiring.

Looks like theres some wiring in the back, but I'm not sure if its supposed to look like that.
The previous owners took out a lot of stuff in this car, and at the time I needed a car asap so I bought the car anyways since it was in my price range. Anyone know what I can do to fix the interior lights? Or are they supposed to be like that, and I just need to buy new bulbs?

That bulb looks visibly blown. You can pick up a replacement from any parts store. An even better option, though, is this bulb. I have one in "soft white", and it illuminates EVERYTHING inside the car, as well as the pavement around the car when I open the door. LEDs also last a lot longer than standard festoon bulbs. Totally worth the $7.

That's a dome light not a map light. If you want to improve lighting in the cabin I would recommend installing a integra map light. I have one on my civic and its a great help when looking for stuff on the floor at night.

Get yourself a test light to see if there is power on the wires. I replaced my dome light with this. There are a lot of different types of led lighting to choose from.

Those are indeed the right two wires that lead to that light. One is supposd to be LT.GRN/RED and the other is supposed to WHT/RED. the WHT/RED one is for power, the LT.GRN/RED completes the circuit to ground when you flip the switch to On or On-With-Door-Open (middle). Just replace the bulb, you'll be fine.
