I'm going to be hard wiring a radar detector up near the rearview mirror, and I was planning on tapping into the light up there. Can anyone tell me how to remove the panel to get to the wires? I am afraid I will start breaking things if I am forceful.

There are four screws that hold the map light assy in. Two are in the sunglass holder section and the other two are hidden behind the map light lenses. Being careful pop the lenses out and you will see them.

Thanks for the info! This will help a lot. I got a speeding ticket yesterday. Just 2 days without a radar detector. :O

It's an 04 Accord Sedan, 4cyl, 5 speed, 104k miles. Picked it up for $2600 but it has title issues.
