I did a search and couldnt find anything, so here I am. Should I advance my timing, what would the benefits be, how much, and which way do a turn the distributor (im guessing so the mark on the harmonic balancer is going forward more towards the radiator.

 

yes...towards the radiator is advancing it. i dunno by how much though...

 

um....hey turning it counter clockwise is going to be advancing it..which would be towards the firewall...towards the raditor would be retarding it....grab a timing light and advance that stuff...drive around and make sure you dont have excessive ping..

oh my god...ur absolutely right...my bad..for giving false info...u could've messed ur car by listening to me... . i advanced my timing too..but for some reason when i posted...and i was at lookin at my screen...i was just thinking towards radiator for some reason ..again..my bad.

is it advance or retard? STock timing (for honda) is 16...advance is 16+ or vise versa?
