Car won't start please help!
My Honda Accord wouldn't start right away after I turn it off. I turned it off and I've waited an hour and it still won't started. Yesterday I drove by myself for the first time (just around the block) but I left the parking brake on (I'm dumb I know). The car got really hot (obviously) but I was told there should be no damage to the car. I assume the 2 are related but I just wanted to confirm and I was also wondering if the problem would be easy to fix? I'm kind of all over the place but thank you in advance for the help.

The car got really hot? Are you saying it overheated? Any water in the oil? I am assuming it will turn over? If so, you need to check a few things, first, make sure the timing belt is ok, so remove the distributor cap, turn the engien over and make sure the distributor is turning. If it is, then make sure you have spark. if so, then make sure you have fuel. Let us know what you come up with.
Thanks for the reply tim. The tires got really hot and smelt like burnt rubber. They were even smoking a little bit. Just for clarification since I was all over the place in my first post.. I actually drove the car today. It ran fine but then when I got home I tried to turn it on again and it wouldn't start and still hasn't.

Okay so I tried to start the car again and it worked! But then I shut the car off and tried to restart it and it didn't work. I would turn the key and nothing appeared to happen and the car wouldn't start. I've looked this up and others have also said that their hodas do not start for a while after they shut it off but I'm wondering whether this problem is related to my parking brake experience or if the car was just getting old.
Like tim said, first thing to check is the battery terminals, especially if the battery is old and is leaking it could be corroding the terminal enough to prevent a good connection.
The next time it doesn't start, tap the starter with something solid and try to start it again. If you starts, it's probably the starter contacts.
