Default Potential problem after replacing internal Dizzy seal?

Well I ordered a new o-ring and internal seal from NOK and Honda, got them in today and I gotta say, getting the screws out for some of the cam sensors were a bitch. Once I got those out I used a small hammer to tap the shaft out from the back. Long story short I got everything back together on the inside, when I went to put the shim/little piece that bites into the camshaft/pin and snapring... the damn pin WOULD NOT slide in. I assumed it was because I tapped on the shaft with a hammer, so I tapped on the shaft opposite of before and got the pin and snap ring on. Noticed the piece that connects to the cam was a little wobbly, so I CAREFULLY tapped it up against the back of the dizzy until it was snug but not too snug. Started the car and all seems fine, and oil leaks stopped as far as I can see... Do I need to worry about the small hammer treatment? When rotating the shaft by hand before installing it, there was a little bit of resistance.

Also, I only had 1 shim under the key for the camshaft/pin/snap ring.

Thanks all

I would think if she runs and the leak has stopped then you should be fine.

thanks for the response man...

Like I said, I was easy with the hammer... didn't crack the **** out of it. Also, I have read that there are 2 shims in the back... I have a 94 d16z6 and it only had 1. I made sure that the lobes on dizzy shaft lined up with the sensors for the cam, I'm hoping she's alright, I can't drive it right now but starts and idles fine...

To add, the shaft spins but with some drag... I plan to take it apart tomorrow and check to see if when the shaft is pulled out of the seal if it still has the drag... if so I assume the bearings are fucked. If not the seal just finally has a good grab.

Pulled dizzy today and double checked everything, resistance was from internal seal being snug around the shaft.
