Re-route the sensor where? If you did that you would need a bung welded in somewhere else. Might as well weld a bung in on the header, not too hard of a concept. Fyi, its a header, you dont have a v-configuration motor.

And I awnsered your question..as well as telling you, not teaching you that you dont have a v configuration engine. Did you not understand the awnser?

You have to take care as to where you mount the O2 as well.
I assume your D15 is the stock DPFI motor which uses an O2 that relies on the exhaust to bring it up to operating temperatures. This is about 600 degrees if I remember.
the further you move down the exhaust, the cooler the gasses get. People have said they have issues with the O2 mounted at the end of the header or further (under the car). In those cases, the O2 thinks it's seeing a lean condition and your engine runs rich constantly.

The OBD1+ O2's have a heater element in them and you can use the narrow-band type with the OBD0 ECU, but you will have to make a circuit to run the heater (not that difficult). However if you decided to mount the O2 far downstream, even with the heater, the gases will take time to travel to the O2. This will be laggy O2 response so you will go rich/lean for longer duration.
