I have a 2001 Honda Civic, the blower fan just stop working. I checked the fuses and they all are good. I pulled out the blower motor and jumped it with the battery and the fan worked find. I've even used a mulitmeter to check wire to the switch and recieved 12 volts. What next?

Can you tell me what I need to do now to fix my problem?

Assume you have check both fuses and they are good and switch does receive 12V. Next step is to check the voltage at blower motor with everything connected and key on. You should see battery voltage at this point. If not, the relay is bad. If it is 12 volts or more, most likely you get a bad transistor or bad ground to the transistor. Good luck.

 

Is the transistor the same as the resistor?

 

They come together in one part "blower power transistor".
