Default New 2009 CR-V AWD owner...what fun can I have with this thing? mods?

So just picked up a 09 CR-V 2.4 iVTEC (K24Z1 or Z4, not sure but same specs) AWD... want to have some fun with this, not nothing crazy but I know this motor has more potential! I read somewhere that 06-09 civic si SRI's will fit (found pics of a guy who put DC Sports on but that one was for 2.0 L motor). Cosmetic input welcome as well. Any one got any experience or know of any performance parts that will go on the K24Z1/4?

Not trying to go crazy, I have the swapped 97 hatch for that...but I know the motor has a little more potential is all. not gonna drag it but a little more pep in the step would be nice! I plan on getting a nice set of shoes on her and a heavy set of 20"s will suck up a little power...just wanna make up for that and maybe a little more so...(gotta account for my big *** as well)

the issue is that searching for these parts by vehicle doesn't get good results, for the reason that the car isn't a traditional performance vehicle, it just so happens to have a motor that goes in others that are...trying to see if anyone who has k24 motor knows what parts WILL fit and work/function properly...

Thoughts??

Just kinda searchin' for intake s for 2012 si since its a 2.4L, and the engine bays are very similar.

I have been doing some looking into it and comparing available dynos on intake systems on 2006 & up civic si 's which share very similar engine bays meaning intakes that fit si will/should fit 2009 cr-v with little to no mod. Since the si's redline higher a lot of the intake systems make peak HP in higher rpms but K&N makes a system for the 2.4 2012 si that make 10+hp around 5700pm...the cr-v redlines around 6500. The takeda system i posted above for the 2012 si looks promising as well and I like that it utilizes stock intake tubing to pull in cold air as well.

Not too much being done to these performance wise. Don't want to Frankenstein this thing just a few bolt-ons. I think it will come down to cross referencing parts and trying to make the numbers work or as close as possible. Skunk2 makes and IM for it but I read that a stock IM from a certain Accord will fit, it's a touch bigger than the stock cr-v. Looking into it though.

Keep us updated. My dad has a 2011 crv I'd like to mod a little. Same as you, just some bolt-ons. I'll definitely check out that intake you mentioned.

id avoid any oil based filters. Lots of issues with K&N's clogging up MAF's.

Update....

Small US based company I found selling intakes on eBay is tracking down a 09 CR-V to try to mock up and dyno test an intake system for it...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261090983299...84.m1423.l2649
the link above is one they made for 2012 si with dyno sheets. Waiting to here back from rep and will post info I get.

Any thoughts on Throttle Controllers and Voltage regulators (NRG EPAC 2)? Worth it or risky?

So far put a nice set of very rare PIAA 1300's on it, 6000k HID Kit (yeah I'm that dick that blinds people), Yellow Top Optima, Kenwood DNX7120 Nav, Nice set of raingaurds. Need to add some power though damnit! lol.

First choice right now is to mod a Takeda cold air intake system on to car...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AFE-TAKEDA-T...4af6cb&vxp=mtr

can get it with either dry or oiled filter setup.
wouldn't be anything but getting longer couplers and it utilized stocks air plumbing to pull in cold air.
