I have a 88 crx DX DPFI. It has been throwing code 7 for the TPS, so I went and picked up a new TB with the TB and replaced it. It is still throwing the code after driving. I know it is possible for both TPS to be bad, but wondering if anyone had any ideas of something else it could be throwing that code.

It is also throwing code 4 and 8 for the Crank Pos. Sensor, and TDC sensor which are is the throttle body. Is it possible these are ran in a series and because those 2 codes are being thrown it could be throwing the light for the TPS

 

did you do a reset on the ecu?

you have to pull the hazard fuse in the bay for like 15 seconds i think.

 

Three minutes or more is best.

 

Yea I had same problem I just reset ecu left it un plugged for ten min and it took a little time but it stayed away

 

Yes have reset the ECU. Just going to put a new dist on it to take care of codes 4 and 8, and if 7 is still there, I just have bad luck and bought another TB with a bad TPS....fml

 

Just an update, replaced the dist. fixed all the problems.
