Default Do I need to change my coolant?

So I'm thinking another reason for my car issues is the cars temp. I'm not entirely sure. I just know that the timing is determined by car temperature in part. Its a stretch and I'm still learning about cars but my coolant temp is measuring around 200 degrees. The air intake is also rather hot. I'm not sure if that could be causing the issues you see me describe in this thread:

If I do a coolant flush does it seem like the problems may get better? Shouldn't my car be operating at around 180 degrees anyways? I'm just trying to think outside the box, could be something not expected. Even a bad intake temp sensor?
