Partial Radiator Support Replacement
I have a '97 Civic LX Sedan that was in a front end collision.
The brunt of the impact was taken by the bumper, but the A/C Condenser, radiator, and the upper part of the radiator support (headlights and up) were also bent up plus the center support was broken loose from the bottom..
I stripped all the parts and drilled the spot welds. On my car, I only found 12 spot welds holding this portion of the radiator support, and removing it was a breeze.
I was looking for replacement parts on line. Parts.com claims to sell genuine OEM parts. In viewing their diagram, it appears that the sections (i.e. top, headlight structure, and center support) are available separately, but it is cheaper to purchase the entire assembly.
Has anyone done a partial replacement of the radiator support similar to what I described? Where did you get your replacement parts?
