I'm looking for a place in southern Portland. Right now I'm driving from Wilsonville to the PCC Rock-creek(Hillsboro) campus, so I'm not to worried about commuting. I'm currently on the GI bill so I can do around a $1000 for rent. My dog is 1 yrs. old, and can pass a behavior test no problem.

Get into a place that allows dogs, except "you don't have one yet" as long as their isn't breed restrictions, you get your dog a couple weeks after you move in...

Or tell them its a dalmatian, and they will just think your stupid.

Either way have worked for me multiple times.

There is almost always breed restrictions most likely due to their home owners insurance.

 

Before we got the house the wife and I used "American Staffordshire Terrier" never had a problem. Even when the property manager asked is that a pit we said American Staffordshire terrier, he said oh ok lol. Can't resist here's a pic of our babies

 

Ok I guess I'll try that, but alot of places won't allow any Terrier. I think I'm gonna go with saying he is a Chesapeake bay retriever mix.

For the record I have a German Shepard......on our current lease he is listed as "Mutt" lol

 

Well, I have had some luck with calling him a Staffordshire Terrier. I don't know if its because they don't know or if its because the $1200 bracket I'm in.
