92-95 EG Civics - Can't figure out how to get middle intake manifold nut back on.
Anybody have any tips or tricks for getting this nut back on the stud? I can get it off using a 12mm box wrench and a telescoping magnet to catch it. It's getting it BACK on that's the problem... it's way down at the bottom and the hole above it is far too small to fit my fingers down there to get it started. I've tried using numerous extensions, sockets and universals to no avail. I'd love to hear what people's methods are for getting this back on. There's a pic below for reference.
Are you able to attack it from below?
scootch under the car thread it on with your hands from behind / under the engine

what intake manifold is that?? Some you can fit a wrench into, some you cant, in that case you gotta get it from under
If I remember right I can touch it with the tip of my middle finger from below, but I can't quite reach it. There's a metal fuel line, a vacuum hose and the oil filter in the way. I could probably drain the oil and remove the oil filter (which is also in the way) and try disconnecting the rubber vacuum hose.
This seems like one of those things where a ratcheting box wrench might come in handy to get it started. At least working from above.
This is what I did. I put my right hand underneath the mani and left hand on top with the nut. I only used two fingers to put the nut on the bolt and using my right hand, I slowly turn it while keeping it controlled with my left hand. As soon as it gets in a bit, I use my right hand to tightening it till I can't turn it anymore. At this point, I use wrench to tighten it completely.

lol I already enlisted my girlfriend's help, but she dropped the nut down in the engine somewhere. I'm going to have to try it from the bottom.

I used a quarter inch extension and a flash light and I did from the top put tape on the swivel so it won't move as much use the flash light to shine down in the hole put a small piece of tape in the socket so the nut won't fall off its still bad but it's the best way I have found to work from the top while sliding the tool in shine in the hole till it lines up slowly turn it till you get it on
