Default 1995 Accord EX dies while coming to a stop

376,000kms I/H/E 2.2 non vtec 5spd. right before you come to a complete stop the revs dip below 500 and the car tries to die. WHen you apply throttle, the revs fall right off and the engine pops back through the intake. Sometimes it will recover but most times it will stall. You can restart the engine right away. Otherwise it runs great. No engine light. Idle has been adjusted.

Maybe you got broken head valves, just sayin cause my car did the same thing. Found out later it had 2 broken exhaust valves. Get a compression test to be sure its not the valves.

If it has broken/bent exhaust valves, the engine wouldn't even run right. It'll mis-fire like sh*t or wouldn't even run IMO. But yes, to find out for sure, use a compression tester.

It depends on how bad it is. Like I had this car running with 2 broken (burnt) exhaust valves for a while and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it until I took it a part. Two of the cylinders were dead, only having 20 and 30 compression. Its amazing how the car still ran through all of that though. I even drove it for a 2 hour trip with it like that. It stalled out 4 or 5 times but it still ran.
