i'd like to throw this out there to see how many of us goofy asses there are. so the question is, which hand is your dominate hand, and which is your TIG torch hand?

for instance, i am a righty. i write with that hand, bowl, shoot, play baseball, everything with that hand. however, i hold my tig torch in my left hand

and...............GO!

 

I'm weird. I write right handed, throw a ball left handed, hit left handed, catch left handed. Hold my tig torch with either hand depending on what I'm doing but mostly hold it left handed, since your dominate hand is for fine motor skills that's usually the hand you feed filler with

 

Right handed for everything, including torch handling.

 

i write right and hold the torch right. but if its something not too important i hold the torch left id eventually like to get good with both hands.

 

right hand jajajaja and when i eat and have to us fork n knife i switch hands dont know why lol

 

right handed and still use my right hand for everything. always use my left as a good guide when i mig though and plasma cutting

 

I weld equally good with both hands. Pretty much impossible to do my job otherwise. When i learned to weld i only did it once in a while so i would always forget which hand i held the torch in so i just used both from the beginning.
