ticking after cam install
Hello. Recently did a S2 tuner cam install and valve adjustment. Timing is set to 16 but we are hearing an intermittent ticking noise now. Could my lost motion assembly be going bad now with bigger cams?
It is possible. Did you inspect them during the installation? Try to isolate the noise. A screw driver held to the ear can be a crude but effective probe for locating the source.
No we did not check them before the install but the noise was not there before. The sound seems to be coming from the head part near my fuel rail. This was after we did valve adj. intake .007 and exhaust .008 per skunk2 specs.
Idle is the same as before and no wierd clanking. Just an intermittent ticking noise.
There is a rod that goes thru all the LMA on each side but will I also need to remove them from valve spring/train assembly to replace?

So.... has it effected your performance or anything since? I am kind of curious and trying to track down the problem to see if it needs to be replaced or can I just drive normally or not. If it was either injector ticking or LMA ticking, how serious could the problem be? thanks again
