GSR Disk Swap Questions!!!
Hey guys, I'm in the middle of doing my gsr disk conversion on my eg hatch, I pretty much have all the parts, just have some questions since I'm kind of stuck.
1. I want to keep the hx rims on the eg, and I know they dont clear the gsr calipers. People have said I can use 5mm spacers with the stock studs, no higher though. Would I be able to? I don't want to grind the caliper bracket.
2. Okay, so my brakes are bad. The booster has a leak so the stock brakes don't work 100%. I'm trying to remove the hub nut, but since my brakes can't hold the rotor for me to take it off, I'm kind of stuck. The only thing I can think of is to put in the new gsr brake booster and cylinder, bleed the brakes so they work just to remove the nut, then bleed the brakes again after. I tried using an air rachet but it's stuck on there.
3. I have to bend one of the brake lines to fit the GSR master cylinder. Is this a tough process? I'm not that experienced on working with cars.
4. This isn't necessarily related to the swap, but i'm replacing my bushings at the same time. How do you guys remove the front lower control arm? There is no room for me to fit a wrench or anything on the last bolt under the car.

2. put the wheel back on, put the car on the ground, in gear with the e-brake on. loosen axle nut, jack car back up and proceed.
you don't remove that nut on the control arm. you remove the whole bracket it sits in.

Yeah that was what I came up with last night, about to give that a try today.
Ohhhh okay, I see what you mean. So I just have to take the bolts off the bracket, and the whole control am+the bracket should come off?
