Misfire at cold start up.
Any ideas as to what could be causing a single cylinder misfire during cold start ups? Only lasts about 20 seconds then goes away after slight revving? I know what can cause misfires but has anyone experienced this kind of problem? Only when car is cold/sits over night. Plugs and wires fairly new. Thanks for any help.
No one? I found out today it is cylinder 3. I pulled each injector to find out. I also found that I AM getting spark on all 4 wires ( did not check at plug).

usually old injectors. pull em whole rail and all, now spin it over and see if any have a weak pulse, good injectors can shoot a pulse of gas a good 5ft away so watch em.

Well there are a few things that could cause it.
A. Sleeve was never fully pressed in when installed
B. the high cylinder pressures hammer on the sleeves over and over eventually causing the steel sleeve to wear away at the aluminum ledge it sits on at the bottom of the bore
C. The sleeve wasn't installed sitting with a ledge. And the it is easier for e sleeve to sink (maybes too much press fit clearance
In my scenario I had small cracks between cylinders 1-2 2-3 and 3-4 from detenation. I believe this allowed the sleeve to move around and then situation B is bound to happen.
Moral of the the story, alway install with a ledge, install with a tight press fit (to the point were the bore is heated before sleeve is pressed in), and TUNE IT RIGHT.
