Default P1259 Trouble

Hello,
About a month ago the timing belt in my 2000 Honda Accord LX 4cyl went out and I had it repaired. There were some valves bent and they were replaced and there was a machine job done on the head. After that was done it drove fine and then it started shuddering at 4000 rpms and threw a CEL for the knock sensor and we replaced that. Then it did the same thing and threw a code for the VTEC solenoid and the mechanic replaced that. Now it’s done the same problem and the P1259 code has been thrown again. The mechanic says that it is not leaking oil anywhere and I haven’t noticed any drops or pools below the car. It is not burning oil because the levels are still fine. The mechanic seems to think now that it may be a problem with oil pump with the engine not getting enough oil volume. I really need some help the car has been out of commission for a month and I’m already down ~$2200and I don’t want to have to pay for the oil pump to be changed if it doesn’t need it. Thanks so much for the help in advance!!!
