Hey everyone, my problem is my car wont start up. The dash lights up but the engine wont crank up it's jux dead silence. I got a new starter in April and a new distributor last month. I had the main relay re-solder n it was running good for a month n resently it was acting up . It basically wouldn't turn on or crank my first try but it turn on rite after i release the key n tried again the other way is to push start but today its jux dead n i dont wanna have to push start every time need to kno what's wrong. O yea i even hooked a new positive wire to the starter n still nothing.



Let me know should i jux buy a new main relay or is it the ecu or jux a glitch some where???

 

If cranking, [starter motor not working] is the problem, the PGM-FI Main Relay is not the problem, it has nothing to do with the starter motor.

Thank for the help. I actually took my starter in n it was bad. But my new starter isn't working either ill run some of the test but im think starter relay or ignition relay.thanks again

just grab a starter relay they should be cheap

 

Just tossing parts at a problem is an expensive way to troubleshoot a problem, find out what is wrong first, then replace the defective part. 94

might try checking your ignition switch.

 

I got a new relay didn't start st first but now its starting up quicker with less lag. But im also running a positive wire straight frm my battery to the starter. Not even using my original power wire turns out the connection which is copper is worn out. But i will replace soon. Thanks again for the advice it helps.
