Default Turbo gsr burns oil, help diagnose

I have a boosted gsr that burns a good amount of oil. My coolant overflow has a little bit of brown sludge in it. I did a compression test when the engine was warm with good results (190ish psi). The car doesnt seem to lack any power. I can specificly smell oil when im engine braking. Do you guys think its a ring or valve seal issue? Thanks

do you see it burning oil or are you losing oil (in the water) and need help to find it?

was this compression test done when at operating temp?

time for a leakdown!

Do the leak down on a warm motor, when doing the test also look into you radiator and watch for air bubbles!

oil consumption under vac usually means valve seal

The cylinders are also subject to vacuum on engine braking. I disagree that valve seals are the most common cause for oil burning under these conditions.

So i took the head off my car today. The things i notice were their was a good amount of sludge in the engine, valves faces on cylnder 3 & 4 where white (coolant). I didnt notice any oil on the exhaust valve stems and i have yet to take the intake manifold of and look at the intake valves.

No oil in turbo compressor housing or oil in the exhaust so im guessing the turbo seal is good.

Haha i wish it only burned that much. I have never checked to see how fast it is burning but i would say half-quart in a couple weeks. I took my intake manifokd off todsy ans say oil in the intake ports of the head. Looks like ill be replacing valve seals. Im praying its not an oil control ring issue also.

I have to disagree. A Gsr in good health will not burn any oil. Oil getting into the combustion chamber is very bad for a turbo car.
