Default 01 rough idle

Ive recently noticed a strange idle issue. When at a stoplight in neutral, the idle goes anywhere from around 1500rpm, all the way down to it seeming like its going to stall, then back up to anywhere from normal 700ish up to 1500. Any ideas what could be going on?

The Idle Air Control Valve needs to be cleaned. The same thing is happening to me too, but that is because I just did a gearbox conversion last week but didn't change my IACV

Can some one post a picture of the IACV? Where is it located?

It is located between your throttle body and engine firewall. I'll try to post a photograph of mine when I get home. The automatic one is 3 wires. The manual one has two wires.

Throttle body cleaner is great because it evaporates so quickly without leaving any annoying residue.

I doubt it. Do you have the D15B or D17A?

When last did you change your air-filter or spark plugs?

I need to go clean my intake once again too as my car now idles very poorly until it warms up. Now my engine is performing similar to that of which Chawski is describing. The last time I cleaned the intake manifold was when the engine was out of the car and I could gain access to all the bolts at at the back between the engine and firewall. My engine bay is very cramped due to the nature of the "cab-forward" design.
