Default Y8 swap in a 99 dx no fuel no fire

Hey all.. I just bought a 99 dx from a friend of mine, it had a bad motor in it, And i had a y8 laying around so I figured why not. I put the motor and trans in and used the y8 ecu and harness, here is my problem, no fuel pump prime and no fire from the dizzy. I have checked and rechecked all my fuses and grounds, cleaned all grounds up and also theramstate housing ground, I also tryed my ecu main relay and dizzy from my daily and still nothing.. Btw, swap is from a 97 si, I had had the whole car that was a write off in the *** end, but still ran fine. The 99 I bought was previously turboed and had a jumper to obd1.

Are you using a obd2b or obd2a wire harness?

The obd2a harness and ECU won't work in that car. The "A" plug in your car is incorporated into the cabin harness, which has some important connections (see here http://technet.ff-squad.com/wiring.obd2b.htm) one of which is the fuel pump control. You'll have to use either a 99-00 EX engine harness and an OBD2b to obd2a adapter or use the DX harness with an adapter harness.

Ex is the Canadian si right? And going the dx harness n jumper I would then need to wire in vtec and convert my iacv, and if I get the 99-00si harness and ecu then it's plug and play?

And is there anyway to just rearrange the pin outs?

Thats exactly what I was going to refer to. You can repin it but it'll be pain unless you're good at that stuff. I would just get an OBD2B harness EX/SI and call it a day.

Alright, so I swapped back to my stock harness and ecu, and I remembered that the injector wires have been cut off, anyone have a wiring diagram for spicing them? Just that they are all pretty well color coded, but from the harness there is an extra red? Or maybe from the injectors? Can't recall ATM but any help will be greatly appritiated tks
