Last night when I stepped out my friends house I realized my car was hit and run. The corner of my quarter panel is dented in, and my bumper is all scratched up. Dont have full coverage insurance on the car so the insurance isnt paying for anything. Havent called yet, thinking my rates would go up if I call. But how much would it be for a shop to pull out the qp and line it up with the bumper and paint that area and the whole the bumper?

 

Call because it should be covered under uninsured motorist coverage that is usually included in liability policies. Most companies now include accident forgiveness as well where your rates won't go up if you don't have another incident. How much seems to be the most subjective question that can be asked though.....it depends on where you bring it, the quality of job they do, your location etc etc etc.

 

His rates won't go up because it is a no fault accident. he will have to pay his own deductible. I just went through this a few weeks ago. Cops didn't do a damn thing. I even caught the guy the next day that hit me. I would say the damage is between 500-800 because I imagine they will have to blend the qtr. I would go get an estimate before contacting insurance depending on your deductible.
