Hey all, (94 accord)

At first, the car would jerk to the side when going over any bump. I read that this is referred to as "bump steer." Next, it started to squeak near the front passenger area while going over bumps, and would squeak if I pushed down on on the car in that area. Then it started to squeak while turning left or right. At this point I had already been under the car, checked things out, and lubed everything with silicone, but it still squeaked. Most recently, while again shaking the tire from left to right (trying to hear the squeak), I would hear this noise coming from the center of the rack, near the inner tie rod. I'm not sure how to describe it as I have never heard it before. It's not really a clank, but something to that effect. It's more of a springy type noise, not sure. This was done with the steering wheel locked and I would only hear that weird noise if I shook the tire hard from side to side.

I know of the possible culprits (tie rods, ball joints, bushing, etc.), and know that no one will probably be able to tell me exactly what is loose or what is going on. I'm just hoping that with the story I just laid out including the "bump steer" and the springy type noise, you might be able to offer some advice.

By the way, the tie rods do seem a little loose. However, while driving, the steering itself is pretty tight and the car goes pretty straight down the road.

The lower ball joint was dry. I shot some grease in there with a needle. Stopped the squeak.
