besides the ecu,thermo,and throttle body what makes this a spoon motor? im just curious because i dont know and im sure theres others wondering the same,are the internals all spoon? or?

 

from what I read its a better balanced motor that is used for endurance racing. So it is probably stronger than ordinary b16b. similar hp #s

 

gotcha,but were just going on what the seller says about everything internally? not doubting him at all but i just wanna know what exactly makes it a spoon motor and how to tell

 

The block will have stamped b16b and no #S under that from what I read

the last one i saw over at hmo had a spoon plate or plaque on it somewhere on the block, as for the internal i forgot but there is alot of stuff piston rod crank head work tb.

i need to look at my spoon book to see what else is done to it. but i think this motor new is like 5-7k? long block only.

yeah np. remember spoon motors arent made for 1000hp, they are made for a beating on the track like 10k revs and **** like that.

 

Spoon motors rev 11k all day long with no worries =]
