As far as the actual bumper, just like the jdm front bumper, the jdm rear bumper is smaller and thinner metal and provides less protection against impact.
The bumper cover I'm not quite sure if there is a difference.

Could the JDM rear bumper fit with the USDM filler piece? And is there a difference between the 88-89 and 90-91 rear bumpers?

USDM 88-89 No bottom lip, bigger bumper trim molding
USDM 90-91 Lip, smaller bumper trim molding.
Not sure but I think the JDM one has a different lip.

JDM rear bumper = Exactly the same rear bumper as the usdm, as far as the actual bumper itself goes. Behind the bumper, usdm has i beefy rebar, the jdm car doesn't
