Hi Guys

I have swopped my 98 Ballade D15 head for the D16 head from a similar year Ballade and I want to change my intake from the upward facing one to the better flowing side lying one ( want to put a Cold Air Induction system on it it). I have a lead on a complete ZC intake with injectors,fuel rail etc ,my question is will it fit? Or am i being a moron and a bit to ambitious?

Should bolt up fine. I know in the US the Y7 intake upward facing uses a different IACV that is mounted to the throttle body as opposd to the IM itself. If that is your case use the old TB and swap throttle rotors from the new TB to the old. Also the injectors for the Y7 are smaller CC so it may run rich with the new injectors.

 

Thanks for that,I will have a go at it and see what the outcome is. I originally wanted to fit the D15B intake with a 60mm throttle body which bolted on fine but my original injectors wouldnt fit into the intake and the fuel rail didnt fit either.Also I only had 3 of the original injectors for it,no fuel rail and no IACV and finding parts to fit is a bummer out here in Cape Town, SA. So hence me going with plan B ZC intake setup. I do understand the running rich part,any idea on how to lean the mixture out? Think the intake I want to get comes off a D16A9 so thought that it wouldnt make a difference.
