Is it just me or the driver's seat sits a little higher than the passenger seat? Is it just the way the rails are? My driver's seat is about .5 - 1 inch higher than the passenger.

Well, Japan is RHD so now your driver seat now is the passenger one in Japan. Of course RHD driver seat gets more
worn then passenger so it must had be widen so. Who knows, there usually not much FAT people in Japan like US but
u may bought a used set from a SUMO!

 

No, the seats are in PERFECT condition. I don't think the seats have anything to do with it. They are both passenger side seats, just mounted on the correct rails.

I'll snap some pictures, trying to get the JDM, RHD, LHD, USDM, blah blah is making me dizzy.

This picture shows that they are both reclined at the same position and they are both pushed all the way back evenly



Shot from the back.. I don't get it. If you look underneath the Passenger and driver's seat, you can totally tell that the driver's side rail is higher than the passenger rail. I was just wondering if my seats are messed up or its just how it is and noone really noticed it.

 

I wonder if the centering on the bottom of the seats for the brackets has anything to do with it considering they are both from the same side of the car, regardless of JDM or not. Just an idea.

 

not funny.. well, ok, it is.. the fat dude who gave me my test drive in the R(a friend of the person I bought it from, as the other guy couldn't leave his store) actually BENT the side bolsters out.. i had to rebend them back.. lol..

had two sets already and they are supposed to be even. I think one of your rails is aftermarket. dude in Japan probably bought only one after market rail for himself because passenger doesn't matter

 

Why replace the stock rail with the aftermarket ones? If they both bolt onto the DC2 Chassis?

Yeah I have noticed that. I have a JDM ITR, I have heard that their seats are smaller, I assume because in genral the japs are smaller people. This dont help me as I am talk and bulky. I still find it strange that the seat that dont get used a lot seems 'bigger' than the seat my chunky *** sits in all the time.!!!!!!

Because a lot of people would like to sit lower in the stock seat.

I wish someone made lower seat rails for the stock USDM seats.

 

I sat in them today and they are low as stock seats.

Very nice, much better than JDM OE rails.

 

I think you got a pair of defective seats. Just send them my way.

why dont you take the seats out and look at the rails and see if they are the same. i would.
