Default 97 Prelude Axles

Finishing up a turbo build on a 97 lude. I'm looking at putting out around 450hp. Its going to be used mainly as a daily driver, no dragging. With that much horse power, would the stock axles support this, or would I need to get stronger axles. Thanks for any input.

It depends on the kinda abuse your going to put on them, axles tend to snap when apply a shock to them suddenly, such when you launch a high hp car. Obviously if you start breaking axles your going to need to look at upgrading to something a little beefier.

Ive been running oem lude axles in my 2900 LB 4 door Accord making 750/575 for years. Ive never broke one.

Ever. And I beat the shiiiiit out of the car.

MUS be OEM HONDA, no remanned oem, oem cerified or vatozone ****. OEM honda. ANY H series axle. I look for 00 01s with lower miles. LIke I saidthe only time ive ever replaced an axle is when Ive been lazy and didnt feel like changing tghe boots. The H uses the same axle diameter as the accord F ****, but the spiders ansd sliders are MARKEDLY bigger.

You will not break them. In fact, Ive stripped 20+ transmisions of 2nd fourth and final drive teeth and never broke one.

You wont either
