So i was getting hard on my ep3 and when i shifted from 1st to 2nd, i dumped the clutch and something gave out. While i let the car roll into my buddies driveway, it was clunking under the hood. I can have it in any gear and let out the clutch and it doesn't move. When i let the clutch out in fourth or fifth, i can hear that clunking in the tranny.

I'd just like to know what you think broke. Clutch, flywheel?

Did you smell any burning?

 

An axle prolly popped out, makes sure they are in all the way, had this happen when I put my LS into my ek.

 

Yeah that, or you snapped the axle in half but that's not likely since you were already moving. Time to get under the car and start inspecting stuff.

 

Pop the hood and check everything out. Get under the car as well like suggested above.

 

Could have blown the final drive? Did you drive it home after you did the hard shift? I blew second gear and the final drive in my RSX about a month and a half ago and I actually drove it 140 miles home like this(I was out of town). When the clutch was engaged it would make a clicking noise. Near the end the wheels just locked up when it was in gear though, so my situation may be different than yours.

 

you could have broken a lot of things... you need to tear into it. sorrry
