Here the situation..
I took out the oem header, there is two "heat shields" covering the cast iron
header. I am just wondering will the aftermarket header generate too much
heat under the hood? anyone have problem with it?
another thing was is it a good idea use the heat wraps(for the header)?
it's not cheap but I heard it keep the temp. inside of the hood better.
but then someone else told me not to do it because it will overheat and crack the
header itself.
which one is the right?? any idea?

Just one more thing to add on to this..
is it a good idea to weld the stock heat shield to my aftermarker header?
it's ceremic coated header.

 

forget the heat shield and get a vented hood

 

vented hood? I'll take that with a custom turbo baby.
